Toungoo to open third MSME sales centre
The third MSME sales centre will be opened in Toungoo Township, Bago Region, according to the Consumer Affairs Department (Yangon Region).
The centre will showcase local products from Bago Region and will be located in a building owned by the Bago Region Development Committee in Toungoo Township. The Toungoo City Development Committee is currently renovating the building to accommodate the sales centre, while the Toungoo District Consumer Affairs Department is preparing the booths and collecting the products to be sold.
By opening these sales centres, consumers can purchase local food products from Bago Region at affordable prices, all in one place. MSMEs will also have opportunities to improve their products and increase their profits.
In addition, MSMEs can expand their markets and connect with domestic and international consumers.
More than 80 types of domestic food products, consumer goods, traditional medicines, kitchen equipment, and agricultural machinery will be sold daily at these MSME product sales centres, representing 28 townships in Bago Region, at affordable prices set by manufacturers.
As part of efforts to develop the MSME sector, local product sales centres have already been opened on 19 October at the Oktha Market in Bago and on 19 November at the Boshukhan Building, in front of the Bogyoke Aung San statue in Bago Region, under the supervision of the Bago Region government. — ASH/MKKS
