CMP factories boost job creation amid rising orders
CMP factories have received orders, creating more jobs for locals, said an industrial zone official.
Among orders, some are direct, and some are indirect.
“With mounting orders, we can provide more jobs for workers. Orders have been promising and placed from different fields, both directly and indirectly. A rise in orders can help create more jobs for workers,” he said.
Job opportunities have now developed at local factories, and workers have a chance to enjoy higher wages depending on skill, so they need to focus on their work, he urged.
“Workers have the opportunity for higher income depending on skill. At a shoe factory in Shwelinpan, the monthly wage of some workers exceeds K1 million. Factories now have modern machines, and workers have been skilful. Factories set minimum pay. However, workers have the opportunity to enjoy salary increases depending on their ability. So skilled workers don’t need to go abroad,” he said.
There are about 750,000 workers in 29 industrial zones in Yangon Region. — MT/ZS/ED
