Home moving and apartment rent increase beyond Thadingyut

Beyond Thadingyut, apartment rent has further increased, along with an increase in home moving, according to estate agents.

With a lively rent market, rent rates have also been high, said an estate agent.

“Home moving has increased visibility as it is dry season beyond Thadingyut. Rent market has been active more. There are people migrated from other cities and towns and most of them rather want to rent than buying. And rent prices have been higher than before. Now affordable rental rooms are hard to find,” he said.

Rooms available for 3-month rental have been scarce in some townships and most owners prefer 6-month or 1-year rent contract or deposit, according to tenants.

“In Pazundaung Township, rent price of majority of rooms are at least from K300,000 to K500,000. Price of rooms at six floor is nearly K300,000 and all are six-month contact,” said a tenant.

Currently in estate market, rent has more increased than buying and rent prices have been higher too.
