MSME loans available at 15 private banks beyond MEB, MADB

Micro, Small and Medium Entrepreneurs can get loans from 15 private banks besides state-owned Myanma Economic Bank (ME and Myanma Agricultural Development Bank (MAD, according to the MSME Development Fund Management Body.
Under the guidance of the State Administration Council, the State established the MSME Development Fund in line with stipulations enacted in Section 20 (C) of the SME Development Law, and MEB has been providing loans at cheaper interest rates to MSMEs in Nay Pyi Taw, regions and states.
That service has extended to 15 private banks beyond MEB and MADB to facilitate MSMEs. Those private banks are Global Treasure Bank, Shwe (Rural and Urban) Development Bank (Shwe Bank), First Private Bank, Kanbawza Bank, SME Development Bank, Myanmar Oriental Bank, Myanmar Tourism Bank, Myanmar Citizens Bank, Cooperative Bank (C, Myanmar Apex Bank, Myanmar Metro Bank, Ayeyawady Bank, Mineral Development (MD) Bank, Construction, Housing and Infrastructure Development Bank, Ayeyawady Farmers Development Bank (A bank).
Those who want to seek MSME loans can apply for them through the nearest MSME development agency branches in self-administered zones, regions, and states, and the MSME Development Fund Management Body has been notified. — NN/KK
